I create functional pottery emphasizing uniqueness for everyday use. Simple forms are used within each set I create to highlight connectedness within my body of work. I then approach my work and apply bold surfaces using a variety of methods including glaze patterning, relief printing, and painting furthering the uniqueness and noticeability of each vessel. Each set is approached on an individual basis with multiple patterns used interchangeably within the series. The surfaces used on my vessels are inspired by and intended to celebrate the fashion of counterculture that I value.  When presented in groupings my pottery is eclectic, pairing, and surprising with a wide range of surfaces and firing techniques, to explore and support the concept of identity and individuality.

My tableware beyond its function gives a person the opportunity to consider diversity in society by experiencing uniqueness and connection within the context of the table service.
